Informatiemaatschappij en veranderingen
OSHA publicatie over de informatiemaatschappij en de daaruit volgende veranderingen in het werk en de arbeidsomstandigheden gerelateerd aan nieuwe risico’s. Aan bod komen o.a. het gebruik van nieuwe technologieën in ziekenhuizen en bedrijfsoplossingen voor oudere werknemers.
[Societal change from an industrial base, through service and into an information society, affects workplaces, work practices and production. These new work situations, some of which are described in this publication, bring with them new risks and challenges for workers and employers alike. Subjects are, among others: consequences of new enterprise structures, managing new technologies in hospitals, company solutions for older employees, redefining work as a result of globalization and the use of new information technologies, home alone - health and safety issues for the self-employed.]

Fibreuze- en niet-fibreuze deeltjes
Deze publicatie gaat over de toxicologie van de kleine deeltjes die geproduceerd worden voor toepassing in nanotechnologiën. Het gaat zowel om fibreuze- als niet-fibreuze deeltjes. Ook mogelijke gezondheidsrisico’s komen aan bod.
[This review focuses on particles in the nanometre size range that are intentionally produced for application in nanotechnologies. It covers existing materials that have applications in the nanometre size range, as well as novel materials. The terms ‘particle’ and ‘nanoparticle’ are used in the broadest sense, to include both non-fibrous and fibrous particles. However, where appropriate, a distinction between non-fibrous particles and fibres is made, where this is critical to the understanding of or expression of toxicity.]
