Musculoskeletal Disorders

Muscle and joint complaints are not restricted to any one specific sector or industry. Besides heavy physical activities, static work postures and movements such as bending and twisting, lifting/pushing/pulling, repetitive actions and vibration are also taxing for the physique. And there is a clear link between working with a bent and/or twisted back and back complaints. Taxing work postures and movements often arise due to the fact that workplaces are not well arranged or the activities are badly organised. A number of good practices for reducing or preventing the risk of muskuloskeletal disorders are given here.
