Work Accidents

An employee may become seriously injured or even die as a result of an accident at work. The number of occupational accidents is persistently high throughout Europe, so it is important that those involved continue to take action to prevent them. Occupational accidents can be caused by slipping, tripping and falling, handling loads by hand, contact with shifting or falling objects, and during transport. Falls from heights and accidents involving vehicles are often fatal. A number of real-life examples of good practices that have reduced or prevented occupational accidents are given below.
