European Week for Safety and Health at Work

Conference 'Stop that Noise' 24 October 2006
Location Norske Skog Parenco Renkum

Last week the European Week for Safety and Health at Work focused on the prevention of noise at work. “Stop that Noise” was the theme of the campaign organised by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work in 2005.

Campaign result

The campaign has achieved a great deal. The subject has been discussed in many sectors and real progress has been made. The developments have continued since then. Governmental policy has developed further and technological developments are advancing at a fast rate. Focal Point Nederland organised the European Week 2006 and also took advantage of the occasion during the European Week 2006, that was also concerned with the safe introduction of young people to their work, to organise a special meeting on the prevention of noise at work.
