European Campaign "Healthy Workplaces" 2010-2011

"Safe Maintenance"

The new two-year european campaign "Healthy Workplaces" of EU-OSHA for the period 2010-2011  aims to highlight the importance of "Safe Maintenance" for the workplaces of Europe and to raise awareness upon the related risks, if maintenance is not carried out properly.

The pan-european campaign "Healthy Workplaces" aims to promote safe and healthy workplaces by encouraging an integrated and structured approach to maintenance.

Since maintenance is a process that affects every area of safety and health, what Europe's workplaces need is an integrated, risk assessment based approach to maintenance, one that takes into account each stage of the maintenance process, the differing needs of employers and contractors and which also directly involves workers.
