General information One of the tasks of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work is to promote and support collaboration and exchange of information and experience in the OSH field between the EU member states. Some of the key results of its work can be found on this page.

Priorities and future strategies

The aim of the "Priorities and Future Strategies for Occupational Health and Safety Policy in the EU Member States" questionnaire was to ascertain member states' current priorities and strategies in the OSH realm. The "Priorities and Strategies in Occupational Safety and Health of the European Union" report summarises the findings and can be viewed on the Agency's website.

Economic impact

The "Economic Impact of Occupational Safety and Hygiene" questionnaire explores how economic aspects influence OSH activities in the member states. The "Economic Impact of Occupational Safety and Health in the Member States of the European Union" report summarises the findings and can be viewed on the Agency's website. The national reports are also available, in English, on the Agency's website.

Research priorities

As part of its work, the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work conducted a survey to identify the "Future Occupational Safety and Health Research Needs and Priorities in the Member States of the European Union". The objective was to identify key OSH issues which would require research in the future. The national reports from all of the EU member states have been combined in one joint European report, which can be downloaded as a PDF file or viewed on-line.
